Nursing Assistant Program Still Accepting Applications

The Health Sciences Counseling Office is still accepting applications for the Nursing Assistant Program that begins August 22 (fall A). There are seats available for students who will complete a six week course to attain basic Nursing bedside skills. The local job demand for CNA’s is outstanding, especially in hospitals and long term healthcare facilities. The training and subsequent work experience is an excellent first step for folks who intend to move up the “career ladder” of Nursing. Applicants need only meet the requirements of CPR certification, completion of Physical/Immunization History form, and minimal college placement standards to qualify for entry. Students are accepted to program on a first-come, first-serve basis, until seats are full. Contact for the Nursing Assistant program is Lukisha King at email or phone 352-395-5758.
