Santa Fe College will hold a virtual ceremony commemorating the 19th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks that claimed the lives of nearly 3000 people.
President Paul Broadie II, Ph.D., has asked for moments of silence to be observed in remembrance of the exact times the planes crashed into the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers, the Pentagon and a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The observations will occur at 8:46 a.m. (WTC North Tower), 9:02 a.m. (WTC South Tower), 9:37 a.m. (The Pentagon) and 10:03 a.m. (Shanksville, Pennsylvania).
The entire SF community is invited to join Veterans and Military Success Services (VMSS), for the virtual event which will be streamed at 10:04 a.m. Watch the presentation at video.ibm.com/channel/santa-fe-college.
The ceremony, which is expected to last about 15 minutes, will begin with a message from President Broadie and will be followed by brief presentations from SFPD Captain Ryan Woods and Nick McMillen and David Bermudez from VMSS.
