Ethics Bowl Team Takes Top Spot in Mid-Atlantic Regional

SF’s Ethics Bowl Team after finishing first in the Mid-Atlantic Regionals.

The Santa Fe College Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl Team placed first in the Mid-Atlantic Regional competition hosted virtually by the University of North Georgia over the weekend. SF bested Virginia Military Institute, Clemson, University of North Georgia and the University of North Carolina on the way to their final round win over Meredith College. SF was the only two-year college in the competition.

The Ethics Bowl team will be back in competition next weekend as they participate in the Southeast Regional competition. SF is slated to virtually host the Two-Year College Ethics Bowl Championship Nov. 20-21.

SF’s Ethics Bowl team includes co-Captains Gillan Chalono and Areli Villavicencio, and team members Paola Sullivan, Brian Sullivan and Noah Frazier. Dr. Ann Thebaut serves as the team’s head coach, along with assistant coaches Dr. Claire Orenduff-Bartos, Dr. Jason Frank, and Professor Lisa Charney.

Congratulations to SF’s Ethics Bowl team and good luck at the Southeast Regionals!
